Habema Mayangkara Knights: Elevating Nduga Papua’s Quality of Life Through Health Services

NDUGA - The Raider 503/Mayangkara Infantry Battalion Task Force (Satgas Yonif), operating under the HABEMA Operations Command, has once again demonstrated its commitment to the well-being of Papua’s residents. On Thursday (1/30/2025), the Task Force provided free health services at Amor Port in Krepkuri District, Nduga Regency, Papua, as part of their ongoing efforts to improve the quality of life for local communities.

Led by Sergeant Suwanto, the health team from Amor Port Post offered medical check-ups and treatments to workers at the port and local residents who traveled from surrounding areas to seek care. The initiative was met with overwhelming gratitude from the community.

"We are deeply thankful to the Habema TNI for providing us with free medical care, " said Mr. Wenda, a local resident who benefited from the services.

Before conducting the medical consultations, Sergeant Suwanto also shared essential health insights, emphasizing the importance of personal and family hygiene practices, such as thoroughly washing food before cooking and avoiding alcoholic beverages. This knowledge aims to empower the community to adopt healthier lifestyles in their daily routines.

Lieutenant Edi Purnomo, Commander of the Amor Port Post, expressed his satisfaction with the program, saying, "We, as the Mayangkara Knights, are delighted to engage with and assist the community through these health services. We hope this activity brings tangible benefits, especially to the people within our task force area."

HABEMA Operations Commander, Major General TNI Lucky Avianto, praised the initiative, stating, "The Yonif 503 Mayangkara Task Force’s efforts in providing health services at Amor Port are a testament to the TNI’s dedication to addressing the basic needs of the community. This initiative is integral to supporting the acceleration of development in Papua."
