Habema's Social Communication Created The Security Of Bilogai Village

INTAN JAYA - One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 509/Balawara Yudha Kostrad, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Intan Jaya Regency, Papua Tengah Province. On Tuesday, 10 September 2024, the 509 Task Forces Patrol Team held the security of the Bilogai Village, Sugapa District. Local people supported this activity, and the whole process ran well.

Underlining the Soldiers' role, the Commander of the 509 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Dian Dessiawan Setyadi, underscored the importance of the Task Forces’ focus on the community's fundamental needs in the assigned area. Therefore, through Social Communication with Community Figures in Bilogai village, the Soldiers of Bilogai Post, led by First Lieutenant Abdian, planned an areal security activity. In the context of synergy between the TNI and local stakeholders, 1LT Abdian took advantage of the time to conduct area security by inviting local Community Figures to participate.

Eventually, the residents enthusiastically welcomed the program, coordinated by a local Community Figure, Mr. Matius Sondegau. The synergy between the community and the TNI Task Forces in securing this area is carried out by checking every vehicle entering and exiting the Bilogai village. 'We are happy that the TNI collaborates with the people to secure the Bilogai village. Papua is safe, ' said Mr. Matius, expressing his satisfaction with the improved security situation after the activity. This sense of unity and shared responsibility, coupled with the community's enthusiasm and engagement, makes everyone, from the Task Forces to the Bilogai community, feel included and part of the collective effort.

Upon receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, commended the 509 Task Forces’ initiative to successfully involve the synergy of local residents in conducting area security activities at the Bilogai village. His words: 'The 509 Task Forces' initiative is a testament to TNI's commitment to conduct inclusive Social Communication to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region.' This recognition from the highest authority in HABEMA is not just a commendation but a testament to the significant impact of such initiatives on the region's development.
